Rob Pierno

Rob Pierno serves as a Senior Consultant at Sustainable You. With over a decade of experience in the solar and sustainability sectors, Rob has worked for some of the largest corporations in the renewable energy industry, as well as regional players that have a more intimate partnership with local governments, community organizations, and non-profits.

At ITility, LLC Rob served as Senior Business Development Manager leading all national origination efforts for waste-to-energy and anerobic digestion systems while also focusing on the expansion of the solar portfolio in the mid-Atlantic. During his time at Sol Systems Rob was responsible for origination of 1MW-40MW PV systems and storage with notable customers in the corporate, municipal, federal government, and retail energy sectors. At Tesla and SolarCity during his 5-year tenure Rob served as an Energy Advisor, Senior Consultant, and Regional Sales Manager focusing on the recruitment, hiring, training, and management of over 25 Energy Consultants, and led the number one ranked sales team out of over 200 groups nationally.

Prior to his entrance into the solar industry, Rob was a Special Assistant for four years during Mayor Fenty and Mayor Gray’s Mayoral Administrations in Washington, DC. Additionally, Rob has over 3-years of experience as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Sales Engineer for the multinational corporation, Cembre, Inc., which specializes in the manufacturing, distribution, and sales of equipment for the retail energy, electrical, and rail industries.

Rob holds a 5-year Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from Thomas Jefferson University (formerly Philadelphia University), loves spending time with his two adorably tenacious daughters and brilliant wife, playing soccer and basketball, and desperately wants to tell you about his journey that led him to the world of solar AND wants to help you start yours.
