Tran’s sustainability journey started with reading labels on her food and toiletries. All of these chemicals with long names - what do they mean and what purpose do they serve? The more she learned, the more she realized how far humans have strayed from what nature intended of us.
Tran’s passion for sustainability continued with work in the food service industry. Witnessing first hand all the food and material waste on a daily basis simply became unacceptable. She worked with management to implement a recycling and a food donation program.
She is studying for an Associate of Science on track for a BS in Environmental Science at the University of Virginia.
